• Adrain from Calgary, AB, Canada, recently bought a pair of Celestion 100 Alnico guitar speakers. He installed them in a Metropoulos 2x12 slant cab which he runs with a Metropoulos GPM 45 amp.
• Karl in Alsip, IL, just retrofitted (12) of his QSC Wideline 10 line arrays speakers with new LaVoce WAN103.01 10" neodymium woofers. The LaVoce WAN103.01 speakers handle 450 W AES, have 3" voice coils but only weight 18 lbs!
• Chris in Fox River Grove, IL, built a custom bass guitar cabinet using a design like the Ampeg single 18" cabinet. The speaker used was a Celestion FTR18-4080FD 18" subwoofer for a high-powered low end and an Eminence APT-80 high frequency horn to give it some sizzle. Add a crossover, casters and a custom metal nameplate and this one will roll your socks up and down!
• Our friend Rick in St. Petersburg, FL, is building some super light-weight line array speakers that utilize the LaVoce WAN082.01 neodymium woofers. These 8" woofers handle 200W AES, have a 2.0" voice coil and only weigh 3 lbs! 4 woofers pack a punch in a nice looking cabinet!
• Pete, in DeKalb, IL, is retrofitting 4 EV MTL2 sub cabinets with some of our 18" Celestion FTR18-4080FD subwoofer speakers. They are a perfect fit and add durability and strength to his bottom end, He says they have never sounded better!
• Chris in Fox River Grove, IL, builds custom 2.1 portable speakers in a variety of styles. His main go-to full range speakers are the 4" LAVOCE FSF041.00, a ferrite magnet full range speaker with a steel basket and rubber surround. Very efficient with small Class D amps. They sound smooth and play LOUD!
• Luis in Papillion, NE, builds custom dual 18" subwoofer cabinets. His favorite 18' speaker for the enclosure is the 18 Sound 18LW2420 subwoofer. These 31 lb. beasts handle 1300 watts and have a resonant frequency of 34Hz. These are some powerful low-end cabinets!
